A Saudi political analyst who is well known for leaking exclusive information about the royal family of Saudi Arabia on Twitter has recently reported that the kingdom buys drones from Israel, in cooperation with South Africa.

In a series of remarks he wrote on his Twitter page Wednesday, the Saudi analyst suggested that the official report released by the Saudi Defense Ministry according to which the kingdom would build a drone factory in collaboration with South Africa is false.



"The report aims to hide the fact that Saudi Arabia intends to purchase drones from Israel via South Africa," the analyst, calling himself "Mujtahid", claimed.

He further stated: "Notwithstanding the political controversies between Israel and South Africa, the military cooperation between both states strongly continues, enabling South Africa to purchase drones from Israel.

"Saudi Arabia buys Israeli drones through South Africa. These drones later arrive from South Africa, dismantled, to Saudi Arabia, where they are assembled, Mujtahid added, describing the mechanism developed to carry out the Israeli-Saudi deal.

According to the Saudi analyst, this deal not only means that the Saudi deputy crown prince and Defense Minister, Mohammad bin Salman, committed fraud by lying to the Saudi people, but it also paints him as a traitor who is serving Israel's interests by purchasing its drones.

Israels och Saudiernas förhållanden vill man inte nämna här, eftersom man försöker slicka Iran i häcken för att kunna handla, utan hänsyn till att de testar ballistiska missiler och stöder sina terrorister. T.om Shia-terrorister i Jemen får göra vad de vill utan klagomål, när Saudierna försöker stoppa dem är det knappast terroristerna man klagar på.

Taking into account regional upheaval and changes throughout the Middle East, billionaire Saudi prince al-Waleed bin Talal says his country should work with Israel to contend with the Iranian threat. Significantly, and rare for a Saudi to admit in public, he emphasized that if the Palestinians launch another uprising, he will side with Israel.

Saudi prince al-Waleed bin Talal has stated that in the event of another Palestinian Intifada (uprising) against Israel he would side with the Jewish State, saying that “Saudi Arabia has reached a political maturity to constitute a durable alliance with the Jewish nation.”

“I will side with the Jewish nation and its democratic aspirations in case of outbreak of a Palestinian Intifada and I shall exert all my influence to break any ominous Arab initiatives set to condemn Tel Aviv, because I deem the Arab-Israeli entente and future friendship necessary to impede the Iranian dangerous encroachment,” Al Qabas quotes the Saudi media tycoon as saying.

The Saudi Prince and entrepreneur posited that his country must reconsider its regional commitments and devise a new strategy to combat Iran’s increasing influence in Gulf States by forging a defense pact with Tel Aviv to deter any possible Iranian moves in the light of unfolding developments in the Syria and Moscow’s military intervention, the Kuwaiti Al Qabas daily reports according to AWD News.

“The whole Middle-East dispute is tantamount to matter of life and death for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from my vantage point ,and I know that Iranians seek to unseat the Saudi regime by playing the Palestinian card, hence to foil their plots Saudi Arabia and Israel must bolster their relations and form a united front to stymie Tehran’s ambitious agenda,” Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) quoted Prince al-Waleed as saying on Tuesday , adding that Riyadh and Tel Aviv must achieve a modus vivendi, for Saudi policy in regard to Arab-Israeli crisis is no longer acceptable.

Iran seeks to buttress its presence in the Mediterranean by supporting the Assad regime in Syria, added Prince al-Waleed, but to the chagrin of Riyadh and its sister Gulf sheikhdoms, Putin’s Russia has become a real co-belligerent force in Syrian 4-year-old civil war by attacking CIA-trained Islamist rebels. Here surfaces the paramount importance of Saudi-Israeli nexus to frustrate the Russia-Iran-Hezbollah axis.

There have been several reports over the past years of secret Saudi-Israel relations, and specifically on military and intelligence issues. The recent nuclear deal with Iran has led Saudi officials and leaders tovoice support of regional cooperation with Israel.

Saudi Arabia allowed women to register to stand in local elections on Sunday, a historic first for the ultra-conservative Muslim kingdom, AFP reports.

In a country where women face a host of restrictions, including a driving ban, the move was welcomed as an important step forward.

At the same time, noted AFP, it also faced criticism from hardline conservatives and rights groups who said it does not go far enough in providing women with equal rights.

The moves comes after another first earlier this month, when women started to register as voters for the December local elections at centers run by all-female staff, separate from registration facilities for Saudi males.

Women in the oil-rich Gulf state, which applies a strict segregation of the sexes, are banned from driving and have to cover themselves in public from head to toe.

They also have to obtain the consent of a male guardian to travel, work, apply for a passport or to marry.

The driving ban is perhaps the most notorious. Activists have launched a campaign against the ban and have encouraged women to post pictures of themselves driving on Twitter under the hashtag #IWillDriveMyself, as well as on Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp.

Many women have driven since the campaign was launched in 2011, some of them have posted videos of them doing so, and many have been arrested and forced to sign a pledge that they will never drive again.

In recent years there have been several minor examples of women receiving more rights: For example, last year it was announced that the SaudiGazette had appointed a female editor, a first in the kingdom. The news of the first female newspaper editor in the kingdom followed an announcement about the first female lawyer in Saudi Arabia.

Nevertheless, a study in November 2013 found Saudi Arabia has the third worst women's rights in the Arab world.

Despite all this, Saudi Arabia won a seat on the UN Human Rights Council, along with other countries with questionable human rights records, including China, Russia, Algeria, Cuba and Vietnam.

Vad som är helt klart är DN:s stora intresse för att sätta åt Saudiarabia jämfört med deras undvikande att nämna något negativt om Iran, där brott mot mänskliga rättigheter är mycket större. För att inte störa EUs frenetiska shoppande med terrorstaten? Efter utrikesblondinens hat mot saudierna?
