Abbas såger i Fatahs Konstitution:

'The Jews have returned - stones and knives won't stop us'

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef's grandson tells Arutz Sheva 'Jews are here to stay' in eastern Jerusalem. 'We won't be intimidated.'

Hezki Baruch,

Sixty-nine years ago, the Hubara family, a Jewish family living in the heart of Jerusalem, was expelled from their home in the Shimon Hatzaddik neighborhood as the Jordanian army invaded and occupied the city during Israel’s War of Independence.
Called ‘Sheikh Jarrah’ by the city’s Arab population, Shimon Hatzaddik was emptied of its Jewish population, whose homes were then seized by local Arabs.
When Israel liberated Shimon Hatzaddik in 1967, the Hubara family found their home was occupied, like so many other Jewish properties in eastern Jerusalem.
For the next 38 years, the Hubara family’s home in Shimon Hatzaddik remained in Arab hands, with the family unwilling to endure the lengthy legal battles required to redeem the property.
In February 2005, tragedy struck. Shimon and Dalia Hubara’s 26-year-old daughter, Odelia, was murdered near a Tel Aviv beachfront in a suicide bombing attack carried out by the Islamic Jihad terror group.
Following their daughter’s tragic death, the Hubaras decided to take back what is rightfully theirs, turning to the Israel Land Fund for assistance.
Twelve years later, following a court order against the Arab squatters for their refusal to pay rent or repair damage they had caused to the property, police returned the Hubara home.
During Tuesday’s eviction, Arab squatters, aided by far-left activists, protested the eviction and threw cinder blocks at police.
Local Jewish activists say they aren’t intimidated by the protesters, or the harassment Jewish residents of Shimon Hatzaddik face from some local Arabs or foreign activists.
One of the activists, Yoni Yosef, the grandson of the late Chief Rabbi and Shas party spiritual leader Ovadia Yosef, told Arutz Sheva that the Hubara home would not be the last to be redeemed.
As demonstrators continued to hurl cement blocks at police and Jewish activists reclaiming the Hubara home, Yosef seemed unfazed.
“We’ll take these blocks and use them to build even more homes in eastern Jerusalem and elsewhere across the Land of Israel. The Jewish people has returned to its land, despite the stones and knives. We’re here to stay, and we won’t be deterred by [Arab] harassment.”
The house, which was has fallen into disrepair and was damaged by Arab squatters over the years, will be undergo extensive renovations before new tenants are brought in.
“The house needs some serious repairs. There are still no mezuzot, and it lacks the most basic things, except for light and water. God willing, [after the renovations], we'll offer the house to a Jewish family, who will move in and strengthen the neighborhood. The Jewish people has returned to its land and to Jerusalem.”

Redan 1989 ville Rabin ha amerikanska ambassaden i Jerusalem.

'Rabin wanted the embassy in Jerusalem back in 1989'

Dennis Ross reveals that Yitzhak Rabin approached him in 1989 about the possibility of moving the American embassy to Jerusalem.

Reut Hadar,

Jewish-American diplomat Dennis Ross, who among his many roles served as former President Barack Obama's Middle East adviser, revealed on Tuesday that already in 1989, then-Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin approached him and asked for preparations to begin to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
“In 1989, Rabin asked me to act to move the embassy to Jerusalem,” said Ross at a panel he hosted at the Jewish People Policy Institute in Jerusalem.
“I think we need to prepare the ground and the public opinion around the world for this. The Trump administration realizes that moving the embassy is an emotional issue and should not be done in haste,” he added.
Tuesday’s panel, which dealt with the changes, challenges and dilemmas in the geopolitical arena, was also attended by Elliot Abrams, former deputy national security adviser in the Bush administration, and by General Amos Gilad, who until recently served as the director of the Defense Ministry's Political-Military Affairs Bureau.
Abrams, who is considered close to President Donald Trump, spoke about the potential embassy move as well, saying, “In June we will know what is going on. Moving to Jerusalem is not a simple process. I would like to see steps being made in that direction - finding a location for the embassy, construction and so on. I would be happy if Trump would show that he took some steps in that direction. At the moment it does not seem that something is being done.”
Moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in recognition of Jerusalem being Israel’s capital was a central campaign promise of Trump’s.
Despite the campaign promises, however, things seem to have stalled. White House press secretary Sean Spicer recently told reporters that no decision has been made yet on the subject.
Trump himself appeared to back down a bit from his campaign pledge, telling the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) last month that such a move would not be “easy”.
He said a decision on the matter will come “in the not-too-distant future”.
Tuesday’s panel also dealt with the nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, which Trump has heavily criticized, saying it was “the worst deal I’ve ever seen negotiated”.
Abrams opined that “American policy has no tools to act against Iran,” adding that he expects the U.S. administration “to work strongly against Iran on all levels, but not cancel the agreement.”
He said that U.S. policy against Iran should include working to stop it from transferring weapons to and financing terror groups, and to work towards the collapse of the regime “that is among the worst violators of human rights among in the world.”
Gilad said that the real threat in the region is Iran, which continues its acts of subversion, empowers and finance terrorists, and provides them with arms with missiles, particularly Hezbollah.
“ISIS will be defeated this year, but Iran will continue to grow stronger,” opined Gilad. Russia, he added, “will not stop Hezbollah but will not prevent Israel from acting against them. It is important not to take action against any Russian soldier because Russia’s situation in the region is very fragile and delicate.”
Gilad also estimated that Iran will not violate the nuclear agreement.
“It will wait until the end of the agreement, it has patience. It is important to understand the true long-term goal of Iran is the destruction of Israel, and that’s why the security cooperation between the United States and Israel is extremely important and we must work to increase it,” he said.

Once again, Abbas brags about how he hasn't made a single concession to Israel for peace.

US senators present bill to obligate president to move embassy to Jerusalem

Three senators reintroduced legislation that recognizes Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the State of Israel and relocates the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
US Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Dean Heller (R-NV) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Tuesday reintroduced the Jerusalem Embassy and Recognition Act, legislation that would fulfill America’s commitment to Israel to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.‎
The legislation, which was initially presented in 2011, recognizes Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the State of Israel and relocates the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This bill removes the President’s waiver authority that has delayed this move until now, and requires official government documents to reflect this recognition by identifying Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
“Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel, and that’s where America’s embassy belongs,” Rubio stated. “It’s time for Congress and the president-elect to eliminate the loophole that has allowed presidents in both parties to ignore US law and delay our embassy’s rightful relocation to Jerusalem for over two decades.”
While on the campaign trail, President-elect Donald Trump stated that his intention to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
In 1995, Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy and Relocation Act, which recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. To date, each American president since Bill Clinton has signed a presidential waiver every six months in order to keep the embassy in Tel Aviv, citing concerns that a move to Jerusalem could hinder the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
The bill withholds certain State Department funds until that relocation is complete.

Ambassader i Huvudstaden.

Deputy mayor: Moving US embassy to Jerusalem embarrasses Israel

Jeruasalem's Ofer Berkovitch says moving US Embassy to Jerusalem embarrasses Israeli government whose offices are in Tel Aviv.

Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem Ofer Berkovitch turned to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Moshe Kachlon, saying the Israeli government should move the offices it maintains in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, before President-elect Donald Trump moves the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel's capital city.
Berkovitch, who also serves as chairman of the Hitorerut Movement which aims to improve Jerusalem socially, municipally, and nationally, wrote in a letter that if the US Embassy is moved to Jerusalem before Israel's government's offices are moved, it would be "an embarrassment to the Israeli government." He asked the government to take care of the issue as soon as possible, considering the fact that those government's offices are illegally located in Tel Aviv.
Israeli law requires all government offices to be situated in the capital city of Jerusalem.
According to Berkovitch, there are currently 75 government offices, with over 4,000 government workers, outside Jerusalem, in violation of the Basic Laws of Jerusalem, Capital of Israel and The Government. These offices and workers, Berkovitch explained, could and should be strengthening Israel's capital city.
"I bless President-elect Donald Trump for his intention to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, This is an important step which will strengthen Jerusalem's status in the world," Berkovitch said. "In addition, I call on the Prime Minister and Finance Minister to immediately move the Israeli government's offices to Jerusalem, before our government finds itself embarrassed. The Israeli government must strengthen Jerusalem with actions, not with words."

Jerusalem Ready To Build, A Lot

The Jerusalem Municipality is set to discuss a new building project in the northern neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo that will see 1,400 new apartments added to the area, which sits on the side of Jerusalem claimed by the Palestinians.
The project is one of the largest single construction plans in recent years, and it has a lot to do with the outcome of the US presidential election.
Until now, building plans in Ramat Shlomo and other “controversial” neighborhoods has been restrained by criticism from Washington. But following Donald Trump’s surprise victory, city officials say it is not only time to build, but to build big.
“Here in Jerusalem, we behave as if Donald Trump had already taken office as president, but no one knows what his policies will be,” warned a member of the municipality’s construction committee in a radio interview.
The Ramat Shlomo plan had been shelved years ago following harsh opposition from the Obama Administration. But now it, and others like it, are unexpectedly back on the agenda.

Islam originally recognized Jews as owners of Israel

Middle East expert Prof. Nissim Dana says that originally Islam saw the Jews as the owners of land of Israel and Jerusalem

    Yoel Domb,

In the wake of the latest UNESCO decision, Prof. Nissim Dana of the Middle Eastern Affairs Department at Ariel University discussed in an Arutz Sheva interview the early Islamic attitude towards the connection between Jerusalem and Israel and Judaism.
Dana stated that he had investigated the early Islamic sources and had even published a book on the subject entitled To Whom Does This Land Belong?: New Insights into the Koran, revealing that Islam absolutely does not have a claim on the Land of Israel - even by its own standards - as it recognizes the Jews as the owners of this country and of Jerusalem.
Nowadays, however, he explained, Muslims seem to be following the maxim 'Don't confuse us with the facts' and it is impossible to change beliefs which they have assimilated over the last few generations even by presenting them with facts from their own sources.
Dana said that "Islam was born in the seventh century C.E. and the Jewish Temple existed many years before that so that it is impossible to mistake those historical facts. Hundreds of years before Islam there was a connection between Jews and Jerusalem."
If Islam is aware of historical events preceding it, how can it change such things as the binding of Isaac to the 'binding of Ishmael' and create an entire festival around it?
Professor Dana agrees that this is a problem, saying that "about twenty five percent of the Koran is stories culled from the Bible. Some are brought as they were written and others are ascribed to Muslims. One of these is the story of the binding of Isaac, the biblical Akeidah, which was changed and ascribed to Yishmael. Islam is not ashamed to doctor history. This is a well-known fact and on their Sacrifice Festival they talk about the binding of Ishmael and not Isaac."
Prof. Dana adds that the greatest commentator of the Koran, Tabari, who died at the beginning of the eighth century, candidly stated that it was Isaac who was bound by Abraham. However the general consensus in Islam is that Ishmael was bound. Dana says that this also brings to mind the absurd expression "don't confuse me with the facts."
However Prof. Dana adds that for the sake of honesty we should mention that Dr. Sari Nusseibeh, one of the heads of the Al-Quds University in Jerusalem, recognized the fact that Temple Mount originally housed the Temple before the mosques were built there. He nearly paid with his life for an article he wrote to this effect.
Don't Muslims realize the linguistic connection between 'Quds' and the Hebrew word for holy, kodesh, and the expression Beit El-Muqads which is almost identical with the Hebrew term Beit Mikdash (Holy Temple)? Doesn't this testify that the holy Islamic sites are built on places which were originally holy to Jews?
Prof. Dana says that "Logic would dictate that this is indeed the case but they are not concerned with the facts which contradict the widespread Islamic belief that they were here and we threw them out, claiming that we threw out earlier nations like the Canaanites who were Arabs. They see themselves as descendants of the Canaanites." This is, of course, impossible as the Canaanites were pagan idol worshipers who disappeared centuries before Islam arose and the Arab hordes swept out of the Arabian Peninsula in the 7th century CE to conquer the Holy Land of Israel.

ISIS hotar i högsta grad Jordanien, se artiklar nedan.
