Sixty-nine years ago, the Hubara family, a Jewish family living in the heart of Jerusalem, was expelled from their home in the Shimon Hatzaddik neighborhood as the Jordanian army invaded and occupied the city during Israel’s War of Independence.

Called ‘Sheikh Jarrah’ by the city’s Arab population, Shimon Hatzaddik was emptied of its Jewish population, whose homes were then seized by local Arabs.

When Israel liberated Shimon Hatzaddik in 1967, the Hubara family found their home was occupied, like so many other Jewish properties in eastern Jerusalem.

For the next 38 years, the Hubara family’s home in Shimon Hatzaddik remained in Arab hands, with the family unwilling to endure the lengthy legal battles required to redeem the property.

In February 2005, tragedy struck. Shimon and Dalia Hubara’s 26-year-old daughter, Odelia, was murdered near a Tel Aviv beachfront in a suicide bombing attack carried out by the Islamic Jihad terror group.

Following their daughter’s tragic death, the Hubaras decided to take back what is rightfully theirs, turning to the Israel Land Fund for assistance.

Twelve years later, following a court order against the Arab squatters for their refusal to pay rent or repair damage they had caused to the property, police returned the Hubara home.

During Tuesday’s eviction, Arab squatters, aided by far-left activists, protested the eviction and threw cinder blocks at police.

Local Jewish activists say they aren’t intimidated by the protesters, or the harassment Jewish residents of Shimon Hatzaddik face from some local Arabs or foreign activists.

One of the activists, Yoni Yosef, the grandson of the late Chief Rabbi and Shas party spiritual leader Ovadia Yosef, told Arutz Sheva that the Hubara home would not be the last to be redeemed.

As demonstrators continued to hurl cement blocks at police and Jewish activists reclaiming the Hubara home, Yosef seemed unfazed.

“We’ll take these blocks and use them to build even more homes in eastern Jerusalem and elsewhere across the Land of Israel. The Jewish people has returned to its land, despite the stones and knives. We’re here to stay, and we won’t be deterred by [Arab] harassment.”

The house, which was has fallen into disrepair and was damaged by Arab squatters over the years, will be undergo extensive renovations before new tenants are brought in.

“The house needs some serious repairs. There are still no mezuzot, and it lacks the most basic things, except for light and water. God willing, [after the renovations], we'll offer the house to a Jewish family, who will move in and strengthen the neighborhood. The Jewish people has returned to its land and to Jerusalem.”

Israel måste också skydda sig mot alla i Västvärlden som säger att judar inte får försvara sig. Obamaadministrationen och huvuddelen av EU till exempel. Men Israel odlar allt starkare kontakter med t.ex. Indien och Kina, bägge länderna med en folkmängd mer än USA+EU och med växande ekonomi.

Om England lyckas komma loss kommer Frankrike omedelbart att bryta flyktingsamarbetet med England som hämnd. Där finns ett speciellt avtal att Englands gräns går vid Frankrikes kust, länk. länk2.

An academic refused to answer an Israeli schoolgirl's questions about horses, citing her support for the BDS anti-Israel boycott movement as the reason.

13-year-old Shachar Rabinovitch sent an email to American-born academic Marsha Levine, who is herself Jewish, asking for some information about horses for a school assignment.

"I know you are a very important person and I've read your article about horses (Domestication, Breed Diversification and Early History of the Horse) and I love horses very much and it will be an honour if you will answer my questions," Rabinovitch wrote.

But she received a jarring response from the 40-year-old former Cambridge lecturer, who said she would not answer the child's question because she opposed the existence of the State of Israel.

"I'll answer your questions when there is peace and justice for Palestinians in Palestine," she wrote back, in a response republished on Facebook by Rabinovitch's mother.

"I am a member of Jews for Justice for Palestinians," she continued, referring to a small, anti-Zionist fringe group. "I support boycott, divestment, sanctions. You might be a child, but if you are old enough to write to me, you are old enough to learn about Israeli history and how it has impacted on the lives of Palestinian people."

"Maybe your family has the same views as I do, but I doubt it," she concluded, attaching a link to her organization's website.

Shachar's mother Shamir expressed her shock at the callous response.

"The reply that was sent to a 13-year-old girl is unbelievable, a girl who has not yet managed to kill anyone and actually is quite supportive of world peace and brotherhood," she said.

When approached for comment by the UK Jewish Chronicle, Levine angrily defended her position, and then went on to brand Jews as "the new Nazis."

"I didn’t ask her to email me. I don’t know how she got my email address. I can do whatever I want. I didn’t invite her to email me. If she wanted to read anything I had written she could find it on the internet," she said.

"I want this girl not to worry about horses. I don’t need people emailing me. I’m not an academic anymore. My research was all in the past. I’m doing other things now. I don’t see any obligation to further her ego or make her feel better about herself. I don’t think it’s about her – I think it’s about her parents.

"Benjamin Netanyahu wants ethnic cleansing. The Jews have become the Nazis. Jews are behaving just like the people who treated them. It’s not all Israelis or all Jews."

Meanwhile, a Cambridge University spokesperson distanced the university from Levine in a statement to the Chronicle.

"She is no longer part of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research and is not employed by the university. The views expressed are her own," he said.

It cannot be denied by any sane person that the public is subjected to regular reversal of positions as stated by leading political individuals, not least of all the prime minister. Words should have meaning, but seldom do. The much touted “2 state solution” is absolutely not as such, but in fact this amounts to 3 Palestinian states without a single Jew in any of them; East Palestine [Jordan], West Palestine [Judea & Sumaria], and South Palestine [the Gaza Strip], “living beside” a single Jewish state consisting of 20% Arabs. How many of our legislators understand this?

Not so long ago, Netanyahu considered the importance of making known our legitimate rights to the Land of Israel as historically defined by an issuance of the Levy Report, but then withdrew the idea, presumably adhering to a safe “politically correct” position. For years, beyond the Begin-Shamir era, the world has become accustomed to the Arab states & their PLO/PA proxies demanding rights while their Israeli counterparts would belabor their interest in “peace”.


Legitimate historians know that the Palestine Mandate is a bonafide legal document which cannot be annulled and yet for us, the guilt ridden people, who would dare to draw attention to its relevant context as of now? Transjordan was created by British fiat through the injection of Article 25 as an attachment to the Mandate with the words, “In the territories lying between the Jordan & the eastern boundary of Palestine as ultimately determined, the Mandatory shall be entitled, withe consent of the Council of the League of Nations, to postpone or withhold application of such provisions of this Mandate as he may consider inapplicable to the existing local conditions & to make such provision for the administration of the territories as he may consider suitable to those conditions, provided that no action shall be taken which is inconsistent with the provisions of Articles 15, 16 & 18.

Two questions emerge. How could Article 25 supersede Article 5 which charges the Mandatory with being responsible for seeing that no Palestine territory shall be ceded or leased to, or in any way placed under the control of the Government of any foreign power? Article 15 concerns itself with discrimination “on the ground of race, religion or language”. What then are Jews who were prohibited entry to Transjordan?

Even more revealing are the words “to postpone or withhold application” which surely suggests temporary action. How convenient to overlook this stipulation with the declaration of Jordan replacing Transjordan !! There is a vast available history on the gyrations & transitions from the cis Jordan separation to Transjordan through to Jordan’s declaration which remains in a shortfall in the making of Israel’s case to the UN, EU and US. Both Isaiah Friedman [British Pan-Arab Policy 1915 – 1922] & Uriel Dann [Studies in the History of Transjordan, 1920 – 1949, The Making of a State, Westview] serve as excellent sources in reviewing the subject period..

Chapter 11 in Friedman’s book covers the episode on Transjordania & Palestine in full, and in particular Article 25. We find that Friedman agreed that it conflicted with “the basic obligation under which the British government had accepted the Mandate.” We learn further of the unpublished pledge made by HMJ to support the independence of the Arabs in Transjordania. Its legality had been discussed at the Peace Conference at which the Allied Powers did not recognize it.To understand the deliberate distortion, we find in the concluding statement of the 1937 Peel Commission, the words,”The field in which the Jewish National Home was to be established was understood at the time of the Balfour Declaration to be the whole of historic Palestine & the Zionists were seriously disappointed when Trans-Jordan was cut away from the field under Article 25.”

Subsequently, the Zionists accepted the separation but protested against the policy of a deliberate exclusion of Jews from settling there while the Transjordanian Arabs had the right to move to Palestine [Israel] without passports. In the July 1929 words of M. Rappard, Chairman of the Permanent Mandates Commission, agreeing with the Zionists, ” If it was a question of general exclusion [of Jews from Trans-Jordan], the terms of the Mandate have been broken.”

Richard Meinertzhagen, who was invited by Churchill to join his staff in 1921 at the Colonial Office as military adviser was deeply disappointed with Churchill’s decision with regard to Trans-Jordan. By way of a conclusion to this episode, his views as expressed below provide significant insights, given the blind repetitive meanderings of present say politicians as they embrace the shopworn ” two states” failed process:

“Both Lloyd George & Balfour told me that in giving the Jews [sic] their national home in Palestine, the Biblical Palestine, that is to say the whole of the country occupied by the Jewish tribes, including Moab & Ammon. But Churchill encouraged by Lawrence, gave the whole of Trans-Jordan to that miserable Abdullah, thus depriving Israel of a vital territory & allowing a complete encirclement of Israel by Arabs.——I remonstrated -He put on that ridiculous bull dog expression, but nothing could be done to remedy Churchill’s stupidity.”
