China Makes Major Moves To Ban Islam

10, 2015

ChinaIslam-1024x535
Apparently, China realizes what the West doesn’t. – Bet you never thought you’d read that here – Namely, that Islam is very dangerous. It’s kind of ironic that the oppressive nation sees what free nations don’t: Islam will turn nasty. It always does. Everywhere the religion/political ideology have been given an inch, they’ve taken a mile. Like a rabid dog, once it gets strong enough, it will bite us.
So what is China doing? It’s declaring an all-out war to make sure Islam doesn’t take over, and never gains the strength to attack them. So let me simplify it:
– Female head-coverings are banned. Period.
– Men are discouraged from growing long beards (often poorly grown ones, might I add)
– Even Islamic restaurants are forced sell cigarettes and drinks. And …
– They must display them prominently. Any business owner who does not follow this order…will lose their business. Gone.
They’re not tolerating Islam at all. That simple. China sees what’s happening to the West. It sees what happened in France, throughout the European world, in Boston and even in Texas. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! They see it, and they’ve decided to stop any kind of political Islamic plague before it grows out of control.
In other words: China learns. Unlike our inept government, it realizes, ‘Hey, Islam wants destroy us.’ It realizes that Islam is political in nature, not just religious. Don’t get me wrong, communism is terrible, but it’s also what absolves China from the shackling burdens of political correctness. They’d rather survive than be politically correct.

China, Israel, and a return to the cloverleaf world

 OCTOBER 27, 2016 11:42 AM (UTC+8)

Counter-terror expert and senior editor of GIS/Defense & Foreign Affairs Daily, Yossef Bodansky, wrote an insightful article in their September issue regarding the convergence of China’s Afro-Eurasian integration project and Bunting’s map of the world as a clover leaf.
Heinrich Bunting was a German Protestant pastor, theologist and cartographer, and in his masterpiece Itinerarium Sacrae Scripturae (Travel Through Holy Scripture) in 1581, he portrayed the world that mattered was comprised of the three continents of Europe, Asia, and Africa, with each depicted as a cloverleaf.  They converged in Jerusalem, and the rest of the world was irrelevant.

China’s New Generation Sets Its Sights on Israel

JUNE 5, 2016, 3:40 PM

Dorian Barak Dorian Barak is a private equity investor and asset manager focused on emerging markets. He is Managing Partner of Indigo … [More]

A new wave of Chinese outbound investment has arrived in Israel

led by a younger generation of Chinese investors and entrepreneurs. This generation is more technology savvy than its predecessors, more focused on innovation, and will have a deep and lasting impact on Israel’s startup ecosystem.

Earlier waves of Chinese international investment were focused on manufacturing, natural resources and infrastructure. They were dominated by state-backed enterprises targeting large-scale projects and companies, often in Africa and frontier economies. Now, with outbound investment led by entrepreneurial investors who are digital natives, the emphasis is changing, and that is where Israel stands to benefit.

This generation is characterized by technology pioneers such as Alibaba, Baidu, Huawei, Kuang-Chi and Xiaomi, among the world’s most successful tech companies, on par with Western counterparts such as Amazon, Cisco and Samsung. What they see in Israel is an unmatched opportunity to learn and benefit from the unique Israeli technology ecosystem that is fast, dynamic, and lean.

Israeli technology investment from China is growing 50 percent annually, according to IVC Research Center. IVC expects the total raised in financing rounds with Chinese participation to reach as much as $500 million this year, up from next to nothing in 2011. The largest Chinese tech groups are already being felt in the local market.

Emblematic of this activity is a $20 million investment made last month by Shenzhen-based technology group Kuang-Chi in eyeSight Technologies, the Herzliya-based leader in computer vision and gesture control. Kuang-Chi is a global tech powerhouse, with reach into Europe, North America and Oceania. Its investment in eyeSight is an important endorsement of the Israeli startup ecosystem.

At the same time, Kuang-Chi announced plans to open a Tel Aviv-based fund and incubator that will invest as much as $300 million in Israel and abroad. Founder and Chairman Dr. Ruopeng Liu told Bloomberg News that he traveled the world to find the right place to locate its technology fund before picking Israel because of “its people who have the spirit to create future technologies.”

Having spent the better part of the last four years shuttling between Israel and China, it’s become evident to me that China sees Israel as a partner with complementary capabilities. What we lack in size, market and resources, we make up for in resourcefulness, creativity and speed. And, given the differences in scale, there is little direct competition as you would find between China and America, Korea, or Japan.

No other country’s technology ecosystem offers China similar advantages, and we’re only beginning to see the benefits.

Dorian Barak is managing partner of investment firm Indigo Global which acted as advisor to Kuang-Chi on its recent investment in eyeSight Technologies.

Ökat samarbete mellan Israel och Kina. Frihandelsavtal Israel-Ryssand.

General Zhao Keshi meets IDF logistics delegation, says military relations between the two countries are developing smoothly.

General Zhao Keshi, member of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) and director of the Logistics Support Department under the CMC, met with a logistics delegation of the Israel Defense Forces in Beijing last week.

Zhao Keshi welcomed the delegation Tuesday and said that the friendly exchange between the Chinese people and the Jewish people goes back to ancient times, an assertion that has little mention in credible historical sources. He also noted that the two nations had suffered catastrophes together and forged a profound friendship during World War 2.

Military relations between the two countries “have been developing smoothly in recent years, as manifested by the constantly deepened contacts in various areas and frequent exchange and pragmatic cooperation in military logistics,” Gen. Zhao noted, as reported by Chinese Ministry of Defense's news site.

He added that he hoped the exchange and cooperation in logistics between the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and the Israel Defense Forces would be further expanded and that this would elevate relations between the two armies in the area of logistics to a new high.

In 2014, Gen. Keshi met with Major General Kobi Barak, head of Technological and Logistics Directorate of Israeli Defense Forces.

He extended his welcome to Barak and reviewed the friendship between the Chinese and Israeli militaries. He said that in recent years, the relationship of the two armies was “developing smoothly,” as evidenced by increased cooperation and frequent exchanges.

Russia, Israel, to Sign Free Trade Agreement

Russia and Israel are about to sign a free trade agreement in the very near future, Russian Deputy Agriculture Minister Sergey Levin told TASS on Friday after talks with his Israeli counterpart.
“We’ve discussed the prospects of forming a free trade zone, which the government plans to put on paper within the shortest period of time,” Levin said, adding that the issue had also been discussed at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
Israeli Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel confirmed his intention to go ahead with the plan very soon.
The two sides agreed on reciprocal purchases of agricultural products, setting up joint ventures and the introduction of agricultural high-tech, Levin said. Russia would like to increase its sale of wheat, beef and eggs to Israel, while Israel, a world power in agricultural technology, is ready to share its expertise with its Russian trade partners.
Russia and Israel plan to establish a Moscow-based agricultural technological demonstration center, Ariel told TASS, adding that Israeli export to Russia has been decreasing recently due to the ruble’s devaluation, implying Israel would like to see a solution to the price gap, to encourage both exports and imports.

Aliyah from China: Jewish history in the making

Arutz Sheva welcomes home 5 women from ancient Chinese Jewish community after thousands of years, in 'fulfillment of prophecy.'

By Yoni Kempinski

Arutz Sheva was on hand late Monday morning to greet five women from the ancient Chinese Jewish community of Kaifeng, as they made Aliyah to Israel and returned to their homeland after thousands of years of exile.

The five women, Gao Yichen (“Weiwei”), Yue Ting, Li Jing, Li Yuan, and Li Chengjin (“Lulu”), were aided by the Shavei Israel organization in coming home, and arrived after several years of intensive Jewish study and Hebrew study in Kaifeng.

"Weiwei" told Arutz Sheva that she learned of her Jewish identity when she was still a child, at around the age of seven, while Li Yuan said her father and grandfather taught her that "we need to come back to Israel."

According to "Weiwei," it felt like "magic" to arrive in Israel.

While at Ben-Gurion International Airport to greet the five, Shavei Israel Chairman Michael Freund emphasized that "what we're seeing here today is Jewish history in the making."

He noted the Kaifeng Jewish community existed from about the 8th or 9th century CE, but a process of intense assimilation about 200 years ago signaled the end of the community. However, today there are about 1,000 people in Kaifeng "who are identifiable as descendants of the Jewish community via family trees," and who are largely returning to their Jewish roots.

Their Jewish ancestors were Sephardic Jews who came to China from Iraq or Persia, traveling along the Silk Route.

Freund cited the Book of Isaiah (49:12) where God speaks about the ingathering of the exiles, and noted the verse concludes by saying: "and these from the land of the Sinim," a term which in Hebrew means the Chinese. He hailed the Aliyah of the five women as a fulfillment of the prophecy.

He explained to the new immigrants that he was going to lead them to the Western Wall (Kotel) to thank God for being able to fulfill the commandment of settling the land of Israel, and also noted on the need to be thankful for the return of Jewish sovereignty.

Freund recently managed to get permission for them to come to Jerusalem to prepare for their formal conversion, so as to clarify their status and learn more about their tradition.

After arriving in Israel, the five women will continue their Jewish studies at Jerusalem’s Midreshet Nishmat – The Jeanie Schottenstein Center For Advanced Torah Study For Women, with the support of Shavei Israel, which will also cover their living expenses and support them as they prepare to undergo formal conversion by Israel’s Chief Rabbinate. After completing the conversion process, they will receive Israeli citizenship.

The last time Shavei Israel managed to bring Chinese Jews from Kaifeng on Aliyah was in October 2009, when seven young men from the community arrived. A total of 19 members of the Kaifeng Jewish community have been brought on Aliyah by the group, which continues to fight through bureaucracy to obtain the required permits for more to come.

Big deals expected at biggest-ever Israel investment event in China

2,000 people are checking out what Israeli tech firms and Chinese investors have to offer each other, says Israeli envoy in Beijing

At the biggest-ever Israel-China investment event ever, being held in Beijing this week, the recent woes on the Shanghai Stock Exchange are just a passing thought, according to Ophir Gore, commercial attaché of Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry in Beijing.

“Of course there’s concern, but events like the 7% slide in Shanghai stocks Monday just make events like this more important – for Israeli entrepreneurs, but also for Chinese investors. They realize that they need to diversify, and Israel, many believe, is a great place for them to diversify to.”

After recent successful investor conferences in Sydney and London, Israel is taking on Beijing, where some 2,000 people – half from Israel and half from China – were in attendance to discuss the opportunities for both sides in Israel’s start-up industry. Among the participants are Chinese investment companies and venture capital funds, key figures in both the Israeli and Chinese the high-tech industry and academia, and the representatives of 85 Israeli technology companies in the area of life sciences, cleantech and advanced manufacturing.

Attending on the Israeli side are top government officials, like Infrastructures Minister Yuval Steinitz, as well as industry executives such as Shimon Eckhaus, founder of aesthetic technology firm Syneron, and Jonathan Medved, founder of crowdfunding platform OurCrowd. Among the Chinese investors attending are chairman of the Fosun Group Guo Guangchang; Sheng Fu, CEO of Cheetah Mobile; Liu Ji Ren, Chairman and CEO of Neusoft; and many others.

While Chinese investors are interested in the full range of Israeli tech, they are most intrigued by Israeli advances in mobile technology, medical devices, and cleantech, said Gore. All three of those areas are very important to the Chinese, as they try to connect more users in the countryside to national mobile networks, and seek solutions to assist their rapidly aging population and deal with the difficult urban pollution issues they face.

Doing business in China today is far different from even just a few years ago, said Gore, who, as the Israeli trade rep in Beijing, has a bird’s eye view of the business scene. “Israelis have learned to acclimate to the Chinese way of doing things, including being a bit more conservative and thoughtful when dealing with Chinese than they might be at home.”

The Chinese, meanwhile, have come to know the Israeli ways as well and are much more tolerant of the brash style Israelis often bring to the very conservative Chinese world – with that brashness seen nowadays as a sign of the Israeli penchant for creativity and “thinking outside the box,” said Gore. “Those are actually the qualities the Chinese admire in Israelis.”

The Economy Ministry’s Foreign Trade Administration, which Gore works for, has been working at an accelerated pace in the Chinese market in recent years, with diverse activities in the field of encouraging trade and market opening projects in China for Israeli companies. There are currently four trade attachés in China – in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong – as many as there are in the US, said Gore.

That activity was one of the motivations behind the conference – and the hopes of Israeli officials for success in a first-time ever project have been more than met.

Kinas ekonomiska problem kommer från USA-

By Mike Finger of SchiffGold

Peter Schiff spoke with Reason TV about the dramatic plunge in the Chinese stock market over the past three weeks. Peter explains how China mimics America’s money-printing economic policy to suppress the strength of the yuan. The effect is similar in both countries – currency inflation, which artificially stimulates investment in stocks. Despite the correction in Chinese markets, Peter believes China’s economy is still fundamentally stronger than that of the United States. Someday, he argues, China will drop its currency peg to the dollar and may begin backing the yuan with gold.

Se länk1, länk2, länk3
