Israeli photographer Oded Balilty's photo of the violent clashes in Amona between police and settlers, which earned him the Pulitzer Prize for for breaking news photography this year, is "a disgrace to Israel" says Nili, the high school girl pictured in the shot.

In a conversation with Ynet, Nili, a 16-year-old from Jerusalem who studies at an all-girls religious high school, had nothing but criticism for the acclaimed photograph.

"The picture is simply an embarrassment to the nation of Israel. Instead of defending the people and land of Israel, security forces destroy Jewish homes. A picture like this one is a mark of disgrace for the state of Israel and is nothing to be proud of. The picture looks like it represents a work of art, but that isn't what went on there. What happened in Amona was totally different."

The moment after

Nili says that after the photo was taken, police beat her and she absorbed numerous blows. "People who see the picture ask me: What were you thinking? What were you doing, one girl against a wave of policemen in black? Why didn't you run away?

"The answer is that we came to fight. We didn't come to give in or run away. We felt and thought that all this injustice and evil must run into the wall of our determination. You have to understand that there is a whole generation of youth that grew up in Israel, that believe in Israel and in the Torah and want and insist on leading the people of Israel in a different direction. And we're willing to fight for it."

Nili's mother, Devorah, described what happened after the snapshot was taken. "What happened afterwards was completely different, and there are pictures documenting that too. The police pulled Nili by the hair and beat her with clubs. It was simply horrifying.

"You see that the photo presents a problematic situation. It shows a civil war, with the government going against the people. The people of Israel are for the land of Israel, and only the prime minister and the Knesset go against it," she said.

The picture was taken during violent clashes that erupted when police evacuated illegal homes in the West Bank settlement of Amona, west of Ramallah, in February 2006. Security forces were operating in conjunction with a court ruling which authorized the razing of nine houses on the settlement.

Some 200 people were wounded when hundreds of settlers and their supporters forcefully resisted the evacuation.

The Associated Press photographer Balilty said that he and a number of other photographers were covering the events, and at a certain point they decided to split up to capture different views.

'We're not broken'

"The violence and cruelty at Amona didn't break us, but strengthened us," said Nili, who says she would willingly

stand up to the police and the army again. "Policemen in black don't scare us. They can break our skulls but they can't break our spirits. What I did in Amona – I'm willing to do again and again if need be. I've been in Hebron and I told the Jewish families living in the 'Shalom House' that if forces come to expel them – I'll be there. And I believe that likewise the thousands of youths that were in Amona.

"You see me in the photograph, one against many, but that is only an illusion – behind the many stands one man – (Prime Minister Ehud) Olmert, but behind me stand the lord and the people of Israel."

Polisbrutalitet ånyo - är regeringen Netanyahu rädd för riktiga judar?

Här är dagens händelse, som liknar många tidigare. De nationalistjudar som skrämmer regeringen Netanyahu är samma människor som från början byggde upp det moderna Israel för ca 100 år sedan.

Police accused of beating students during raid on yeshiva

Students at Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva in Yitzhar say police entered at 3:00 a.m. this morning, attacked boys. Three students arrested.

Students at the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva in the community of Yitzhar claim that they were subjected to severe violence by riot police, the Israel Security Agency (ISA, also known as the Shin Bet) and Israel Police during a raid on the yeshiva around 3:00 a.m. this morning (Tuesday).

The legal defense organization Honenu is representing the youths and reports that one local minor was arrested in his home and two students arrested in the yeshiva.

Two of the detainees were released unconditionally this morning, after they were questioned on suspicion of having been involved in two confrontations with Arabs. The pair denied the accusations.

The third suspect, who claims that he was beaten after violated the police instructions by leaving his room, was released in the afternoon. A court ordered him to stay out of Samaria for the next three days. He is suspected of attacking the four riot police who arrested him.

The students and yeshiva staff say that the police acted brutally and for no clear reason. "It seemed like the raid's goal was to annoy us."

According to witnesses, the police refused to show a warrant but still entered the rooms, woke the students and confiscated all of the phones and cameras they saw. The students believe that the confiscations were intended to prevent anyone from recording what occurred.

Afterwards the officers carried out a comprehensive search. Witnesses say they overturned the contents of closets and personal property without discrimination and even threw the boys' bedding on the floor.

Two students who left their rooms were ordered to return to them. Even though they complied, a riot police officer knocked them to the floor.

Another student was beaten for allegedly not listening to the officers' orders not to leave his room during the raid. He says that several officers punched him.

The Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva says that it views the officers' conduct as a "hate crime." The injured students intend to submit complaints to the Police Investigations Unit and are considering the possibility of filing a personal civil suit against the violent officers. "The yeshiva students continue to learn Torah happily. Through much love of Israel, we hope that the police and the riot police will come out of their confusion and return to their true work - eradicating the murderous Arab terror that runs rampant all through the country."

Allmänne åklagare Weinstein, extremvänster, godkände tortyr av barnen!

Polisbrutaliteten i Israel är konstaterad: allmänne åklagaren godkände tortyr! Utan att ha Netanyahus tillåtelse! Han ska visserligen ersättas snart men han har förstört livet för många högersinnade israeler - och bl.a förföljt Lieberman i decennier av ingen orsak alls och har aldrig lyckats stämma honom.
Allt babblande av Utrikesminister Ya'alon de 5 månaderna sen händelsen var rena lögner. Så ungdomarna är upprättade - dags att följa spåret om att två arabiska klaner i byn länge har legat i fejd med varann.

Polismyndigheter och toppolitiker fortsätter attackerna mot odömda nationella judar utan bevis, toppolitikerna har inte träffat en enda av dem, deras advokater har i de festa fall förhindrats träffa sina klienter, andra står på ungdomarnas sida som psykologer, socialarbetare och andra advokater. Några har släppts efter att domstolar har sagt att det är olagligt att hålla dem längre utan några bevis.

Är jag tjatig om alla dessa fall? Inte för alla som bryr sig om Israels utveckling. Den ena efter den andra som burats in utan dom och några lagliga orsaker, måste släppas för att säkerhetspolisen hållit dom inburade längre än lagen tillåter. En mordbrand som mest sannolikt  var ett led i en lång kamp mellan två arabiska klaner, försökte de Israeliska toppolitikerna anklaga nationalistjudar för och har sen hållit på 5 månader för att försöka hitta bevis via tortyr.

Jag är varken israel eller jude, vanlig svensk, men man kan tillämpa vanlig logik för det. Jag minns inte förhistorien när judarna var uppdelade i två konungadömen, Israel och Juda, men varför skulle inte ett nytt Juda uppstå i område C, som Netanyahu/Yaa'allon vägrar annektera trots att Arafat fick Nobelpris för att ge kontrollen till Israel till totala fredsförhandlingar, som Abbas och Arafat konstant undvikit eftersom de vill ha hela området. Om area C fick anledning att gå självständigt, vilket Netanyahu tvingar dem till, varför inte göra det bästa av det? Se till att de har än mer att sälja till omvärlden, gör mer reklam för det, handelsdelegationer till delen av världen, från Ryssland i väst till Kina i öst, massor av potentiella köpare och ingen antisemitism. En kinesisk bekant på Indonesien berättade hur de började få smak för kvalitetsvin och många kineser där är rika.

Här ger domstolen polisen en order om att släppa deras offer efter lång tids illegalt fängslande. De ror att de har alla rättigheter inkl. bryta emot lagen på flera punkter. I sin upphetsning av att under 5 mmånaders babblande från Ya'alon inte ha hittat en enda skyldig utan släppa den ena efter den andra efter tortyr. Stora demonstrationer mot toppolitikerna som jamsat med polisen utan att träffa ett enda av offren.

Watch: Duma suspect finally released

Polisbrutalitetena fortsätter, flera har förvägrats träffa deras advokater efter en månad.

Den sorts "administrativ detention" används i Israel men är en kvarleva från den Brittiska perioden.  Att hålla personer fängslade utan någon dom eller bevis. Förklaringen är ibland enkel att förstå och används mest mot palAraber - de hittas ofta tack vare angivare som, om de blev kända omedelbart hade mördats.

Att Netanyahu och Ya'alon nu använder det mot unga nationalister för att de inte har hittat nån skyldig är bara ett tecken på massiv inkompetens. Byn Duma är känd för lång fejd mellan två arabiska klaner men eftersom nu Netanyahu och Ya'allon från dag ett utan anledning har anklagat nationalistjudar de hatar, aldrig araber som annars detaljer tyder på, som hebreisk graffiti med arabisk handstil,  så har det gått helt snett.

The Honenu legal aid organization announced on Saturday night that three of the Jewish suspects being interrogated by the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) over the lethal Duma arson still have not been allowed to see their lawyers, for some roughly a month after their arrest.

In its statement, Honenu began by announcing that Judea-Samaria district police and ISA forces arrested a 15-year-old minor at his home in the Binyamin region of Samaria on Saturday night.

The minor apparently will not be prevented from seeing an attorney, but it remains unclear on what suspicions he was arrested, as no charges have been presented against him - it would appear he is being detained as part of the Duma case.

Regarding the three Duma suspects who have not yet been allowed to see their lawyers, Honenu stated that it has not yet been revealed what exactly they are suspected of, and how their interrogation is being conducted.

One of the minor detainees in the case is to be brought to the Lod District Court on Sunday, and on Monday all of the detainees in the case are to be brought for a hearing at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court.

That hearing comes as a period of 30 days under detention winds down since the first arrest, reaching the legal limits of the detention. It is anticipated that indictments will be submitted on the case on Monday.

"We follow with concern the ongoing management of the interrogation towards two detainees who underwent torture and serious violence, and an additional detainee who underwent shaking and violence against him," said Honenu, revealing reports on the interrogation against several of the detainees.

"We hope that the prevention of meeting (an attorney) for the three additional detainees will be lifted quickly so that we can have their condition confirmed, and so as to know what are the suspicions against them, and whether they also suffered torture during the investigation."

Administrative detention

Last week the Petah Tikva District Court found that the ISA illegally detained one of the suspects, a minor, for longer than the 20 days mandated by the counter-terror law.

The suspects are being held under administrative detention - a measure which allows security forces to hold an individual without evidence or trial. However, even under administrative detention a minor can only be held for a maximum of 20 days, at which point the Attorney General needs to personally sign off on their continued detention.

While the ISA issued a statement last Thursday claiming it has not abused the suspects, the suspects have described brutal abuse, including sleep deprivation, sexual harassment, and extreme physical abuse.

Last week one minor suspect broke down under interrogation after nearly a month and admitted to the charges, although the reported abuse raises concerns that the confession may have been false and inadmissible as evidence. Prior to the confession, officials admitted there was no evidence against the suspects.

One minor suspect told the court last week he tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrists because he could not suffer the treatment any longer, and was ready to confess to anything they asked him just to get the interrogation to stop. The suspect's arms were found to be covered in numerous scars providing further backing to his statements.

Psychologists and social workers have issued a petition to stop the reported torture they argue is illegal under Israeli law, and likewise civil rights groups have called to investigate the ISA over the apparently illegal torture.

TT vråljuger IGEN! "Tårgasattack mot hem på Västbanken"

TT kör som vanligt med felaktig antisemitisk vinkling av det mesta som  kommer från Israel.

Storyn om anklagelser och tillfångatagande av oskyldiga nationella judar skrev jag nyss om. Vad värre är att Netanyahu, Ya'alon,  Bennett och till och med Shaked  har gängat upp sig emot de nationalistiska judarna.

Min ibland upprepade teori är att area C i Juéen/Samarien skulle bilda egen judisk stat liksom på den gamla tiden, konungariket Juda. Netanyahu/Ya'alon vill inte inkorporera det med Israel, gör minsta möjliga för att hjälpa israelerna som helt lagligt bor där, så kan de ekonomiskt klara sig själva, sätta upp egen flygplats för handel med icke-väst, massivt köra propaganda för sina produkter i Ryssland, Indien, Kina etc. slapp Netanyahu problemet som han själv åstadkommit genom att vägra använda LAG, Levy Report, som också visar hur TT är ute och flyger i fantasin när de anser att något är "ockuperat" i Judeen/Samarien. Enligt internationell lag är det INTE. Evakt vem skulle det ha ockuperats från och när? Ottomanska riket, mandatmakten England, den olagliga Jordanska ockupationen?

Psykologer och socialarbetare i Israel börjar nu attackera säkerhetspolisens våldförelse av nationella judar. De är INTE TT:s "ultranationalister".


Det är  mycket långt mer än "en advokat" som TT drar till med i sin vanliga antisemitiska agenda i Göbbelsk stil.

Sen drar TT också fram att där var graffiti på hebreiska som om inte alla palestinaaraber i stort sett kunde skriva hebreiska - men det har   ändå sagts här och där.

Further, the Hebrew words scrawled at the scene were written in the style of Arab calligraphy – not in the form of Hebrew lettering.  The words also appear to reflect an Arab terrorist mindset – which is focuses on vengeance and the avenging of Allah.  The written graffiti words were: “Revenge the King Mashiach (Messiah)” scribbled with a Chabad crown. These are odd words and a peculiar symbol for a supposed Israeli “right wing terrorist to write.”

Minns Duma som attackerades och där folk mördades. Ögonblickligen fläkte Netanyahu och Al'lon upp att det måste ha gjorts av "bosättare" - den typ av judiska nationalister som skapade Israel i början. De visste inget men roade sej med att meddela alla nyhetskällor inkl. utländska.  De vet fortfarande inte vem som utförde dådet, bara att det är utfört av judar de inte gillar. De har tagit som "bevis" graffiti på hebreiska, som om ingen arab kunde skriva det och det skrevs med arabisk handstil enligt experter. Lite senare skedde än en mordbrand som regeringen gjort sitt bästa för att tysta ner, det är känt att två arabiska släkter i byn länge legat i vild fejd med varann. Inget spelar nån roll för rättsväsendet, som alla är starkt vänstervinklat och långt ifrån neutralt. Där finns en lång rad stories om polisbrutalitet bland nationalistiska judar som man försökt tysta ner. Många är nu upprörda, länk länk
